Coolangatta/Tweed Heads Whale Watching Wed 10th Sept 08
Yes – it’s another fantastic day here on the Gold Coast for Whales – yeh ha we had around 25 whales today – calm sea, no wind, plenty of sunshine and great muffins and donuts by the way !! We headed out and straight away Tony was onto the whales – ‘there she blows’ he yells from the top deck – excitement building – wow how much fun is this !! We couldn’t believe how many whales we had seen by the end of our trip, started off slow and gradually there were pods everywhere – over there – over here – behind us – in front of us – we’re surrounded by beauty (and it was’nt me !!) these whales were so occupied with each other today, didn’t have too much time for us whale watchers, but we could see them having so much fun and enjoying themselves, some pods had 4-5 whales at a time, others with one, they joined up, a bit of pushing and shoving and then two pods started breaching, together , now this is too much fun !! That’s enough info for one day
