Whale Watching Coolangatta Tweed Heads September 12th
12 Sep 2008
Plenty of humpback whales today off the Gold Coast, we viewed in excess of 12 pods this morning, all travelling slowly in a southerly direction, with some pods back tracking to other pods coming through. The Humpbacks were being very social today and not in a hurry.
Sea conditions were sloppy but produced excellent whale watching this morning. Still no sign of any calves. The whales were in close to Coolangatta today out to a maximum of 4 miles, all pod of 2 healthy humpbacks.
This has been Carol – The Whale Women – until tomorrow
