What an amazing season for the whales this year – we did have a fair bit of bad weather, we lost around 30 days in bad weather this year, up over last year. 

Every single day that we ventured out to see the whales we saw them, some days they were very quiet in the water, which isn’t much fun if it is your first time – but as I always say – they are wild mammals and they only do what ever they want not what you want and if they don’t want to jump out of the water for you then that is how it is.  Most days though, we had extraordinary encounters that truly blew me away and all our happy customers of course.

The whales are definately on the increase and that makes me very happy.  We didn’t have any calves caught in the nets this year and that was a blessing. 

So overall a fantastic season and now we just have to wait until next June to do it all again – and that can’t come soon enough for me.
