The 2011 Gold Coast Whale Watching Season is getting closer, here we are late January and the countdown is on !!! Four months to go and I get to see my beautiful Humpback Whales again – how I have missed those guys !!! The long range forecast is telling me that we should get this ordinary weather through till March and have a pretty normal winter and spring this year – and you know what that means !! No rain – thank goodness – had enough of that wet stuff around here.
The Gold Coast has faired pretty well with the Queensland Floods, not directly affected at all here on the Gold Coast, but we have suffered with the rain and bad weather that has been attached to the floods. The ground is drying out, sun shining and hope that those cyclones predicted just don’t turn up over the next two months.
Whale Watching Season is a way off and our first planned trip will be Sunday 29th May and go right through to early November. Anyone wanting to book a whale watching trip, as you would and with me, cause we are simply the best whale watching boat anywhere !!! should book direct on this site or give us a ring or email and we can arrange this for you. The very best time to go whale watching here on the Gold Coast is mid to late June through to Mid October, and the VERY BEST TIME is mid August to Mid September, cause that’s when the whales come to the boat – and the calves are on their way back to the Antarctic - MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE TIME !!!! Oh I’m starting to get excited just thinking about it !!!
I know I’m a crazy whale women !!!!
This has been Carol the ‘Whale Women’ signing off till next time.
